ATTENDEE Resources

Real-time Captioning at Plenary Sessions

All plenary sessions will be simultaneously webcast with open captions. This makes the plenary sessions accessible for audience members who identify as having a hearing impairment, and it also improves conditions for individuals who have difficulty hearing. For those attending in-person, instructions will be provided on how to access the captions from your computer, smart phone, or tablet.

ASL Interpreters

Attendees should request sign language interpreters for the Annual Meeting by January 22, 2026. Interpreters are available for those registered to attend  discussion panels, seminars, topical and plenary lectures, business meetings, and workshops.

For all other events, arrangements with the interpreter can be made separately at the individual’s cost. To request an interpreter, please complete the Attendee Resources section on your online meeting registration form.

Mobility Devices

AAAS will reserve a mobility device for the Annual Meeting registrants who submit a request by January 22, 2026. Please answer the Accessibility and Inclusion section on your online meeting registration form to reserve a device if needed.

If you need to update your assistance needs, please log back into your existing registration or contact us at meetings@aaas.org.
