Hotel Reservation FAQs
You may be contacted by companies not affiliated with AAAS to book your hotel rooms at supposedly significant discounts. Please note: Experient, A Maritz Travel Company, is the official housing bureau for the AAAS Annual Meeting.
Reservations made through another company will be at your own risk, and AAAS will not take responsibility for any lost deposits, reservation relocation, or accuracy in type of room reserved. If you are contacted by another housing company trying to sell hotel rooms, please notify us by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
How do I reserve a room?
Visit the 2020 AAAS Annual Meeting Registration site and follow the instructions to reserve a room. Assistance is available at 800-388-8507 from the United States, Canada, and Mexico; or 240-439-2953 from other countries. You must be registered for the meeting to secure a hotel room under the meeting room block.
What do I do after January 24, 2020, which is the deadline to make reservations through the AAAS Housing Bureau and receive special rates?
If you try to make a reservation after this date, availability and rates will be at the discretion of the hotels. For changes after the cut-off date, call the hotel directly. However, please understand that processing your reservations from the Housing Bureau into the hotel system will take a few days. Rest assured that if you have received a confirmation number from the Housing Bureau, the hotel will honor your booking.
