Gilda A. Barabino, AAAS President and Chair, 2023 Annual Meeting

Dear Science & Technology Community,

I am thrilled to announce that the 2023 AAAS Annual Meeting will be held virtually and in-person in Washington, D.C., March 2-5, 2023.

The meeting will highlight groundbreaking multi-disciplinary research that advances knowledge and responds equitably to the needs of humanity. I invite you to submit a proposal for the following:

Workshops by July 25
These instructional or informational sessions will highlight opportunities or resources available to enhance or augment careers paths or advocacy efforts.

Student E-poster Abstracts by October 10
Students demonstrate their research by submitting a short video with a poster PDF, followed by live presentations, and judging for the finalists.

We are so looking forward to connecting with our friends and colleagues again. Even if you cannot join us in-person, there will be multiple options to engage virtually.

Scientific Session Panels (deadline reached)
Experts from different facets of the science and technology community assemble to compare notes during discussions about groundbreaking multi-disciplinary research that advances knowledge and responds to the needs of society.  Accepted panelists will record a 10-15-minute spotlight video introducing key data and findings they will highlight in the panel conversation.

10-Minute Lightning Talks (deadline reached)
These live in-person short presentations offer individuals the opportunity to offer data and insights on any sci/tech topic relevant to those attending the AAAS meeting–discoveries, innovation, or policy.

Best,

Gilda A. Barabino
