Adler Planetarium at Night!

FREE ADMISSION FOR AAAS ANNUAL MEETING ATTENDEES

The Adler Planetarium, America’s first planetarium and the oldest in the Western Hemisphere, has inspired curiosity about the universe for nearly a century. Home to one of the world’s finest collections of historic scientific instruments, the Adler also houses remarkable spaceflight artifacts, including the Gemini 12 spacecraft, which flew around the Moon during NASA’s Apollo era. Visitors explore immersive exhibitions, experience award-winning sky shows, and enjoy the best view of Chicago overlooking Lake Michigan and the city skyline.

During Adler at Night, the entire museum is open, including exhibitions, planetarium shows, live programs, and (weather permitting) public observing through the historic Doane Observatory. AAAS attendees can receive free museum admission on this night only! Planetarium shows are $10 per show for adults—and no visit is complete without experiencing one! Once the February Planetarium tickets become available, we will share details on how to claim free museum admission and how to reserve show tickets through the Adler Planetarium website.

If you can’t make Wednesday night, be sure to check the Adler after the AAAS Annual Meeting on Sunday, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM, although complimentary admission for AAAS attendees is available only during Adler at Night on Wednesday.
