Postdoc Talks

Deadline to propose a 10-minute Postdoc Talks for the 2026 Annual Meeting was Friday, October 18, 2024, 11:59 p.m. PT. These talks will showcase postdoc research to a broad, interdisciplinary audience, with following goals:

  • Share your “big idea”: Captivate attendees with a novel, inspiring topic with broad relevance.
  • Gain recognition: Increase your visibility in the interdisciplinary scientific community.
  • Develop your communication skills: Learn to effectively present complex research in a clear and engaging way.

These talks are open to individuals who are currently holding a doctoral degree or equivalent. This new format of talks is aimed at individuals engaged in mentored research and/or scholarly training.

  • Newsworthy topics: Is your research relevant to current events? Has it made a groundbreaking discovery?
  • Clear communication: Can you explain your work in a way that’s understandable to a general audience?
  • Engaging presentation: Will you use visuals and storytelling to bring your research to life?

Early NovemberProgram Committee meets to select Postdoc Talk proposals
Mid-NovemberSubmitters receive accept, conditionally accept or decline notifications
that include instructions about next steps.
