Postdoc Talks
These 10-minute talks will showcase postdoc research to a broad, interdisciplinary audience, with following goals:
- Share your “big idea”: Captivate attendees with a novel, inspiring topic with broad relevance.
- Gain recognition: Increase your visibility in the interdisciplinary scientific community.
- Develop your communication skills: Learn to effectively present complex research in a clear and engaging way.
ELIGIBILITY
These talks are open to individuals who are currently holding a doctoral degree or equivalent. This new format of talks is aimed at individuals engaged in mentored research and/or scholarly training.
PROPOSAL REVIEW CONSIDERATIONS
- Newsworthy topics: Is your research relevant to current events? Has it made a groundbreaking discovery?
- Clear communication: Can you explain your work in a way that’s understandable to a general audience?
- Engaging presentation: Will you use visuals and storytelling to bring your research to life?

June 5 | Postdoc talk and workshop proposal submission site open |
October 17 | Postdoc talk and workshop proposal submission site closes |
Early November | Program Committee meets to select Postdoc Talk proposals |
Mid-November | Applicants receive accept, conditionally accept or decline notifications that include instructions about next steps. |
